Google is not impressed
Google has no problem with telling it like it is. Yesterday, the Android maker said Motorola isn't creating good enough mobile products for its popular operating system.
Patrick Pichette, Google's chief financial officer and senior vice president, told an audience at the Morgan Stanley Technology Conference that Motorola isn't up to par with Google's expectations of a hardware maker.
"[Motorola's pipeline are] not really to the standards that what Google would say is wow -- innovative, transformative," said Pichette. "We've inherited 18 months of pipeline that we actually have to drain right now, while we're actually building the next wave of innovation and product lines."
So far, a few Motorola releases for Android include the
Droid RAZR Maxx HD and the Droid RAZR M
. While these phones aren't half bad, Google said customers want more.
Pichette also made mention that Google's relationship with Samsung, its No. 1 hardware maker, is "terrific" despite recent rumors. In fact, the
Samsung Galaxy S IV
with the Android operating system is due to be announced March 14.

You're mixing arguments here. The argument at hand is that all Android phones are more or less 'the same'.
Apple could very well have more or less 'the same' phone for 4 years but it would still be within the same company. Competing against yourself is fine but keep in mind, every year there was a new phone, there weren't 4 years worth of iPhones all competing against each other.
If you liked the original iPhone, chances are you are a fan of the changes made along the way. Apple actually changed almost every aspect of the phone. From screen, cpu/gpu, ram, battery, body, connector, audio chip, etc.. it's actually a completely new phone from the 4S to the 5. I don't actually know of any component that is exactly the same between these models.

Sorry but that's a bullshit argument in the first place. It's a generalization and it's petty.
ALL smartphones share the same basic form factor. Hello? They are wide, thin, and roughly have the same aspect ratio screen, which in turn dictates the frame design.
Then you have things like the Galaxy Note line, which last time I checked weren't "the same" as other Android products. Oh I guess that's not innovation either in your book. Nothing Android phones do qualifies for that apparently.
This is stupid. Your argument is stupid too. You're biased against Android phones in general, and were just looking for any angle to slam them.
Or are you just against variety and competition in general?

"Or are you just against variety and competition in general?"
Bingo. Anything that competes with "the precious" gets the usual trolling. These new 1080p Androids are awesome, and I think it has them worried about the precious.
