We take this slick new box through the paces
Back at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) iBuyPower showed off an intriguing design to us -- Revolt. The system packs an eye catching case an an unsual graphics card mount that allows the card to sit somewhat flush with motherboard, which in turn allows a rather slender profile for a system with a high end GPU.
Our colleagues over at Anandtech have already done a nice writeup on overall performance of the system. We got our hands on a Revolt unit of our own and wanted to test in a little different direction. Tomorrow we'll share the first of our results.
We decided to run our benchmarks in the stock Windows 8 and are currently benchmarking a couple of more recent titles including Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3. We'll post our first results tomorrow, but for now here's some pics.
Our system includes an Intel Corp. (INTC) i7-3770K (Ivy Bridge) and NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA) GeForce GTX 670 (Kepler)
The system began shipping yesterday and is available direct from iBuyPower.
