iOS 6.1.3 likely means the end for one popular jailbreak
Earlier this month a jailbreak for iOS devices launched called Evasi0n. The jailbreak proved to be incredibly popular racking up
in the first six hours it was available – after all, this was the first “untethered” jailbreak available for the iPhone 5.
reports that Apple is currently beta testing an update for iOS that crushes the Evasi0n jailbreak.
According to David Wang, one of the creators of the jailbreak, an analysis of the 6.1.3 Beta 2 update determined that the update patches at least one of the five iOS flaws that the jailbreak exploits. Specifically, the new iOS update patches a flaw in the time zone settings for the operating system.
“If one of the vulnerabilities doesn’t work, evasi0n doesn’t work,” he says. “We could replace that part with a different vulnerability, but [Apple] will probably fix most if not all of the bugs we’ve used when 6.1.3 comes out.”
Wang expects that could be as long as another month before the 6.1.3 update is available to the public, so for now users of his jailbreak can continue using it with no problems. And considering that any 6.1.x update is unlikely to add any new functionality, most people will just stick with the 6.1.2 Evasi0n jailbreak permanently.

Yes, because Android buyers (Excluding buyers of the S3 and comparable handsets) generally have lower earning power than people buying iPhones. Frankly, as an iPhone owner I am aware that the iPhone 5 is perhaps not the best value for money, but it feels the best built, and apps tend to work on it better than my Galaxy S3 and I place a high value on that reliability (we'll look past Apple maps now that Google Maps iOS is available). I tend to see iOS as more robust than Android in the sense that everything is backed up to iCloud and just gets restored including recent calls, texts etc.
I tend not to buy apps on the G3 or use it to browse the web as the web browsing experience on the i5 is better for me because I make fewer mistakes typing using the iPhone keyboard and is generally less finicky. Apps is obviously in the iPhones favour, not just due to various app available metrics, but because Apple has been hooked into people's wallets for far longer with iTunes and the App Store, and they trust them with that data. I don't necessarily trust Google with my personal data, let alone my financial data. The Play Store has improved, but it still is missing a lot of apps I use all the time.

Yeah, it's just higher quality.
