More HTC One (M7) rumors surface

If you are a fan of HTC smartphones, some details on one of the company's coming devices known as the HTC One (or HTC M7) have now surfaced.

The HTC One is expected to land in Europe on March 8 with a price tag of €649.99. Another source indicated that the HTC One will launch on March 22 in the United States. The source says that the device will launch on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint wireless networks with 32GB of storage for $199 with a 2-year contract. A version of the device with 64 GB of storage will reportedly be offered for $299.99.

The source of the leak has also tipped that the smartphone will have a metal casing with front facing stereo speakers. Colors are said to include black and a silver/white version.

Have had one for the last 2 years and it's a fantastic sturdy reliable phone. Why people keep dismissing HTC is beyond me.

Honestly, if HTC were more friendly towards the modding community and didn't keep making singular large flaws for every handset I'd probably go back to them.

I'll see if this new HTC One will go about it right.

Have you heard of a flaw with the droid DNA?

I have no idea what you are talking about. HTC makes great stuff and has quietly advanced the industry. They were the first to market with a 4G LTE handset, for example.

The biggest problem with an HTC has always been their Sense UI. Which is a LOT better now, but was never as horrible as some made it out to be.

And that handset had abysmal battery life, poor stability and just got updated to 4.0, over a year after all other HTC phones got it.

They also abandoned some to 2.3, and one phone, who came out with 4.0, will never be updated.

Search for HTC issues and stuff like screen dust, creaking bodies and the like will come up.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Sensation but HTC can't get quality under control.

Irrelevant imo for the purposes of this discussion. If you had to perfect a product in every way to be first to market, well...there would be very few firsts.

You were saying? When someone makes an absolutely perfect product, produced on a scale to satisfy demand this great, give me a call.

At least you can book a Genius bar appointment at an Apple store and then get it swapped out if under warranty. Apple are usually pretty good, they replaced my 5 on the spot for having 2 dead pixels. Where would you go for an HTC product exactly? The phone shop you bought it? Good luck with that...FYI, I had issues with dust under the camera on my Galaxy 3 a couple of days after I bought it because this is not sealed for some reason, seems to be widespread on some handsets.

You were arguing why HTC was "great", and chose perhaps the best example of why they are losing money every quarter. Being first to the market to have your customers as product testers isn't good for long term business.

Posting about someone else's problem with a post on apple's forum does nothing to disprove my point. The issues with creaking and dust on the HTC Sensation were very prevalent. Add to it the phone had issues with the screen registering touches when not touched due to a ground contact that wasn't too reliable. The creaking issue was a lack of quality control with the tabs that catch the body of the phone.

Contrast this with apple, who you brought up, and while they have their problems, their customer satisfaction is second to none.

Yup, I had an HTC incredible and had no issues at all. I even dug the rubberized plastic backing that everyone called cheap. My galaxy nexus has a much classier looking back that causes the phone to slip right out of your hand.
