There's nothing about this that might make others abandon their smartphones, so BlackBerry can't yet convince most consumers that the Z10 makes more sense than more popular and mature options.

Am I the only one who thinks that the universal inbox, which shows all your social media (emails, twitter, facebook, etc) in one place without having to switch app, is an awesome feature and one long overdue? Also the ability to peek at your inbox without leaving your currently running app?

If I was a social media intensive person, and one who don't mind about the more limited number of apps supported by the platform, I would find that to be a good enough reason to change phone.

Universal Inbox has been on iPhone for many years. It isn't anything new or unique to BB.

Well, it doesn't seem Apple users are aware of it. I've just asked tonight a second iPhone owner and she told me she was not aware of a universal inbox feature on her phone, that this was the reason she wanted to switch to the Blackberry Z10.

You're saying iPhone has an app where you can read/write/reply to all your social media (twitter, linkedin, facebook, email accounts, etc)?

"This is about the Internet.  Everything on the Internet is encrypted. This is not a BlackBerry-only issue. If they can't deal with the Internet, they should shut it off." -- RIM co-CEO Michael Lazaridis
