Wi-Fi + LTE model costs $929

Apple's iPads are no doubt hugely popular with consumers, but the company has been notoriously stingy with storage space on the devices. When the iPad was originally released in 2010, it was available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models. When the fourth generation iPad was announced a few months ago, it too was still stuck with the same storage capacities.

Apple has finally listened to the cries of users craving more storage space by announcing a new 128GB model. However, be prepared to pay dearly for it.

IPad storage upgrades have always been priced at $100 for double the storage capacity, and the 128GB model is no different -- the 128GB iPad Wi-Fi costs $799 versus $699 for the 64GB iPad Wi-Fi. If you prefer to have the 128GB model with Wi-Fi + LTE, it will set you back a whopping $929.

The new 128GB fourth generations will be available in black and white starting on February 5.

In other news, Apple yesterday released iOS 6.1 for users of the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. And for iPhone 5 users that have been begging for a jailbreak, your prayers will finally be answered on Super Bowl Sunday.

Try modern game apps - the routinely exceed 2, 3, even 4GB each! How many of them can you install on 16GB storage?
If you don't play anything more complicated then Angry Birds, rely exclusively on Cloud for your media consumption and don't forget to remove pictures made by your phone/tablet, then 16GB is enough. Most people though would run out of memory in a split second.

The 16GB is the most popular iPad model by far which would indicate that most users aren't running out of memory. I've had a 16GB iPad 2 for almost two years now and I've never felt cramped for space.

As such, by your statement, and my experience, 32gb clearly isn't a bare minimum. Not all of us own a tablet so we can play games or watch videos, some of us own them for very trivial things such as the internet, or email. I have no need for a 4gb games on my tablet, I have a nice PC won which I can okay real games.
