It uses the ASUS ESC4000 G2 Black 2U server platform
AVADirect has announced the world's first 2U four-way GPU server system. The new system supports up to four GPU or Tesla card units, and uses the ASUS ESC4000 G2 Black 2U server platform.
Using ASUS' platform, the GPU server offers up to 512GB of DDR3 1600 Mhz, 8x 16 x 3.0 PCI-E expansion slots, 8x SATA ports (RAID 0,1,5,10), 8x Hot-swap bays, 1+1 Redundant 1620W 80PLUS Platinum Power Supply and support for CentOS, RedHat, SuSE and VMWare.
"While the ESC4000 can be used for a multitude of purposes, performance will mostly shine through the allocation toward render farms, imagine generators, rack-mounted graphics workstations, and multi-display requirements for increased workspace productivity," said AVADirect.
Last year, AVADirect debuted its Intel-based 21-inch All-in-One (AiO) computer for a starting price of $777.64.
