The number used to be 25,000 signatures
The White House recently increased the number of signatures needed on its "We the People" petition site from 25,000 to 100,000.
"We the People"
is a website where users can create and apply online signatures to petitions. When the number of signatures on a petition exceeded 25,000, it will receive a comment from the White House.
When the site launched in 2011, only 5,000 signatures were needed. As the number of users grew, the number was raised to 25,000. Now, the site has grown even more and 100,000 is the new number to beat.
However, any petitions that were existing before the new 100,000 rule will remain under the 25,000 signature rule. As of right now, there are a little under 40 petitions that have passed the 25,000 signature mark.

False. They wouldn't make a penny because the people who grow & sell it are already growing and selling it. It's already cheap and abundant.

Yes and no, sure they would get a big competition from local producers but they could make huge planting fields and maximize the return to the point that it would be cheaper to buy from them than produce your own cannabis.
Also cannabis may be cheap now cause it's not taxed or very little (medical one), most of the price of the tobacco is taxes, tax the cannabis like tobacco and cannabis will be more expensive.
I'm all to tax every smoker to mayhem, in a way that any health problems they have will be payed with the money from these taxes and not from everyone else.

You're forgetting the influx of government regulations that would put small time sellers out of business and open the door for the tobacco industry to lobby (i.e. bribe politians) for dumb licensing requirements and other nonsense to raise economic barriers to new entrants who don't have a few Billion to spare.
