CES 2013: Huawei Makes World's Smallest Data Card, the UltraStick E3331

It will be available in the Philippines in February 2013, with other markets to follow
Huawei announced the world's smallest data card at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week.
The data card, which is the UltraStick E3331, is only 7mm thin, 67.5mm long and 25.5mm wide. It comes in white, and supports a download speed of up to 21 Mbps in the PA+ network.
"A key trend which can be seen across mobile devices, laptops and even digital cameras is for light and thin designs," said Wang Yeh Biao, Director, Huawei Data Card Product Group. "Huawei is investing resources to develop advanced and innovative, yet light and thin, mobile broadband products. We are very happy to launch the UltraStick E3331 data card as we continue to make convenience and great technology available to more people."

The Huawei Ascend W1 features a 4-inch IPS LCD display with OGS technology, a 480x800 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, an Adreno 305 GPU and the Windows Phone 8 operating system.
Just last week, Huawei announced that it would sell its
Ascend P1 smartphone
through Amazon in an effort to reach the U.S. market.
The Ascend P1 is an Android-powered smartphone with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an 8 MP camera and 1 GB of RAM. It's also very slim at 7.6 millimeters.
The UltraStick E3331 will be available in the Philippines in February, and other markets sometime after that.

she probably means that it takes the thing 15 secs to find and maintain a connection? anyway, i traveled to germany recently and bought a stick in a store there, and it really wasn't much smaller than what is being shown here. from the headline i expected something barely bigger than a micro-sim card.
