Be Quiet! will be launching a line of coolers and power suppies in the U.S. and Canada

This morning at 2013 Consumer Electronics Show we caught up with Cristoph Katzer, a product marketing representative from "be quiet!" (some may remember Mr. Katzer from his role as a power supply reviewer at Anandtech several years back.

Be quiet! is likely an unfamiliar brand for most American consumers.  But the top European parts company and self-proclaimed "quietness experts" look to change that this year, as they launch in America.

Founded in 2000 and based out of Hamburg, Germany, the component maker claims to be #1 in Europe for cooling and power supplies parts for enthusiasts.  Now it looks to parlay that experience into sales success across the pond, with impending launches in the U.S. and Candian markets.

Featuring a small line of four fans and four power supplies, the company will target Australia's Noctua on the cooling front and California's Corsair memory in the power supply front.

Be Quiet!
be quiet!'s lineup of fans and power supplies will hit U.S. and Canadian e-tailers this spring.

As the name suggests, be quiet! has some special design features targeting silent performance.  The plastic blades of the company's fans feature grooved channels to reduce airflow noise.  And the fan is encircled in a rubber ring to deaden any sort of vibration against the case.

The German firm is targeting a tentative February launch date for its line in the U.S. and Canada.  In the U.S. the company will distribute primarily through Newegg.  In Canada the firm is pairing up with NCIX.com, a popular online e-tailer.

Like most European Companies they are stifled by Unions I doubt they can be competitive. When I worked for the DoD as a contractor in Germany I watched union workers that were responsible for adding an extra power lead from a PDU in a small data center refuse to work off hours which is standard practice to minimize impact of the entire data center being down and use hand screw drivers to install surface mount conduit on the wall and take multiple breaks during the whole process wanna guess they were payed hourly? A 1 hour job at max was dragged out to an all day affair. Europeans don't know the meaning of a hard days work.

I agree.

The Albanians, Norwegians, Polish, Slovenians, English, Italians, Danish, Bulgarians and all the other 700 million lazy riff raff people of Europe just don't know what it means to do a hard days work.

Quite laughable how a few people are generalising a population larger than USA based on pure ignorance, or a single personal experience at best. Since we're on the subject of generalising, you come from a country which apparently can't tell the difference between Austria and Australia and are often seen by other countries as ignorant, arrogant, plagiarising, uneducated, obese, lazy, warmongering cowboys.

Annoying isn't it? ;)

Of course, I know that doesn't apply to over 600 million people, so why don't you people think to educate yourselves or at least think about how foolish you're being before posting such utter nonsense?
