Merrill Lynch's Scott Craig said there's a good chance Deutsche Telecom will announce the iPhone's arrival next week
T-Mobile is the last of the four major U.S. carriers to not offer Apple's iPhone, but that may change at next week's analysts day.
According to Merrill Lynch's Scott Craig, there's a good chance Deutsche Telecom will announce the iPhone's arrival to T-Mobile during analysts day on December 6 and 7.
It's very possible that this could be the case, since T-Mobile recently spread its high-speed HSPA+ network (which is compatible with the iPhone) to 10 new metropolitan areas.
A deal between Apple and T-Mobile could be beneficial for both, as Apple would have its device available on all four major carriers and T-Mobile would likely see a sales boost.
However, just last week, T-Mobile USA COO Jim Alling said that it'd be nice to carry the iPhone, but
it just isn't worth it
Jim Alling, COO of T-Mobile USA, said, "Make no mistake about it: We would love to carry the iPhone. However, we want the economies to be right for us."
Apparently, T-Mobile doesn't want to be stuck in the same position as Sprint. When Sprint took on the iPhone 4S for the first time in September 2011, the deal cost $15.5 billion. Sprint said its iPhone operations
won't be profitable until 2015
T-Mobile recently blamed its branded net contract customer losses during
on the iPhone 5, since it's available at Verizon, AT&T and Sprint.

Clearly you haven't spent much time with Windows Phone Mango (7.5) or 8 have you?
Windows Phone is all text and is absurdly simple to use. Whereas an iPhone uses icons for things, Windows Phone shows you text for most settings etc. It's extremely descriptive, and text is also significantly larger than on an iPhone.
So in reality, for older folks and for those who are technologically challenged, Windows Phone is superior to iOS. iOS is simple for the sake of being unchanged the past 5+ years. So... yeah.

I have not spent much time. I want to, but no-one has them and no-one buys them. We let people choose and so far only 1 WP7 device that was offsite, so I only got to look at it for a few mins. I am very much looking forward to trying out WP8. I am sure someone here will get one soon.

Yeah, the WP UI is pretty great, best thing MS has done in a while
