The i3 Coupe Concept will be officially revealed at the 2012 LA Auto Show from November 30-December 9, 2012
The 2012 LA Auto Show isn't for another couple of days, but BMW is already showing off the i3 Coupe Concept.
The i3 Coupe Concept has an electric motor capable of 170 HP, and 184 lb.-ft. of torque by single-speed transmission. It also uses lithium ion battery packs, which are in the floor of the vehicle, that produce 125 kWh.
As far as the design, the i3 Coupe has a length of 3,964mm, a width of 1,768mm and a height of 1555mm. Its body is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and uses sustainable materials like leather, wood and wool. The overall interior seems more spacious, and it sits on 20-inch light-alloy wheels.
There are two driving modes, which can be changed via the Driving Experience Control switch. There's the default Comfort Mode for a sporty and comfortable experience and Eco Pro Mode to improve the efficiency of the vehicle. Using Eco Pro Mode over Comfort increases efficiency by about 20 percent.
The estimated range of the i3 Coupe is 160km on a full battery.
