Don't think of a "superphone" in terms of hardware specs. Think of it in terms of what the phone can do.

A new BB10 device might ship in a few month with a 6 core 5Ghz cpu with 8GB of RAM and a 50 megapixel camera but the thing has 5 apps and can't connect to a BES for email will you call that a superphone?

exactly; and the iphone with its small screen and outdated OS cannot do what android phones can do. no HD video playback, no widgets, no options for expandable storage (not all android have this, but quite a few do), still no micro-USB...

as far as apps are concerned: every useful app is available on all platforms. no developer limits itself to just apple. the bulk of all other apps, regardless of platform, is fart sounds and wallpapers.
