Awesome case, from the look of the reviews. I'd like to get one, but apparently neither Newegg nor Amazon actually carry it yet.

the case is HUGE! 2x wider than a full tower. I'm struggling to wrap my mind around why this behemoth bench case has come to market.

yeah, but it's shorter. I've held back on putting my system on top of my second desk because of the glass top. The fully loaded HAF 932 is very tall, and very heavy. it puts a lot of weight in a small area of the glass top, and that makes me nervous. With this thing, I could put my machine up on top, have easier access to the MB and cards, and get my machine up off the carpet. It would also allow more heat to flow out the top naturally, reducing the airflow I would need. The only glitch is that I'm not sure it would have a proper mounting point from my Corsair H100. Yeah, it's big, but it's smaller and more manageable than my current case. I like that form factor.

Who cares if its shorter? It's got vents on the top, therefore you can't take advantage of the extra vertical space by stacking things on top. It's a stupid design.

As for your glass desk, 10 seconds of critical thinking will reveal a few cheap and easy solutions for you. If you want to spread the weight of your case over a larger area, simply put something between the case and the desk. A hardwood cutting board, for example, will spread the weight over a larger area. Or move the computer off the desk entirely - place it on a pedestal next to the desk.

Or just get rid of the silly glass desk. If the desk isn't suitable for the task at hand i.e. supporting your computer equipment, why don't you replace the desk with a more suitable one? Seems silly to re-architect your computer over a crappy made in china glass desk.
