UK Court Tells Apple to Rewrite "Apology" to Samsung Due to Untrue Statements

Last week, Apple posted a
notice on its UK website
which indicated that Samsung didn't copy the iPad when it designed the Galaxy Tab family of tablets. Of course, Apple didn't do this out of the kindness of its heart -- it was
ordered to do so by a UK court
In keeping with Apple’s typical demeanor towards its competitors, the notice posted on its website was rather flippant and pointed to how the Samsung tablets weren’t deemed to be as “cool” as the iPad. Apple also pointed out in its notice that it had won judgments against Samsung in both German and U.S. courts.
It appears, however, that UK judges weren't amused by Apple's play on words, and called the Cupertino, California-based company's statements "incorrect" and "untrue".
, the U.K. Court of Appeal in London has ordered Apple to remove the notice from its website within 24 hours to correct the inaccuracies. It also has to post a new, revised version within 48 hours.
“I’m at a loss that a company such as Apple would do this,” said a puzzled Judge Robin Jacob. “That is a plain breach of the order.”
One of Samsung's lawyers, Henry Carr, piled on by starting that Apple's original notice left the “impression that the U.K. court is out of step with other courts” by mentioning the judgments in Apple's favor by German and U.S. courts.

Of course he does, that is what crApple PR reps are paid to do. Defend them in every conceivable way and under any possible circumstance. I really enjoy how their stock just keeps falling. Reminds me of Facebook. They will be giving out shares this time next year as Halloween treats to try and save face.

LOL... It is funny, but they arent in danger of losing much. They have a ton of cash and products that sell and sell at a high profit, so they are safe. Tony's constant assertion that the growth rate will continue is a laugher though. It's already been unprecedented groth for years, but these days the competition has better products for cheaper prices. Android was outselling IOS 2.5 to 1 in 2011 with android 2.xx which really sucked compared to 4.1. in 2012 Android is outselling IOS 4 to 1 and now Android OS has not only caught up, but FAR surpassed Apple. The more people that see how well Android 4.1 works, the more want it and that sales gap will continue to widen. Android is at what, 1.2 million phones per day now? Crazy.
Like I said, Apple isnt in any danger , but the growth period is over. It will level off about where they are now for the next few years, which is super profitable. If they once again start innovating and catch up with competition it can go up again, but that remains to be seen.
