HP Unveils Full Windows 8 Computer Family

HP rolls out its range of Windows 8 computers
HP has gone official with its complete line of
PCs for consumers and business users. The lineup includes the HP Envy x2 ultrathin hybrid PC combining the benefits of a notebook and a tablet into one. The machine has an 11.6-inch touch display, Beats Audio technology, an integrated web cam, and NFC technology starting at $849.99 with availability set for November 14.
The SpectreXT TouchSmart Ultrabook has a 15.6-inch multi-touch, full HD resolution IPS display. The machine is 17.9 mm thick and is the first notebook from HP to use Intel Thunderbolt technology. The machine will launch in December for $1399.99.
The Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 has a 14-inch HD resolution display and an integrated subwoofer with Beats Audio technology and optional AMD graphics. The machine can be pre-ordered in the US starting at $799.99.
The next consumer machine from HP is the Pavilion Sleekbook 14 and Sleekbook 15. Both machines are available in several colors and different screen sizes with prices starting at $499.99 and $579.99 respectively. HP also has several all-in-one computers that run Windows 8 including the Envy 23 and the Envy 20 featuring 23 and 20-inch displays respectively supporting 10-points of touch. Both machines are available in the U.S. now starting at $999 for the 23 and $799 for the 20.
HP also announced its SpectreOne described as a thin and elegant all-in-one PC with a 23.6-inch display. The machine is expected to launch in November with prices starting at $1299. HP also has a gaming desktop available in the US $899 aimed at high-end digital content creators and gamers called the Phoenix h9.
HP's business line of Windows 8 machines includes the ElitePad 900, which is a tablet designed for business. The tablet supports various HP Smart Jackets adding connectivity options and battery life. It will launch in January 2013 with pricing announced closer to launch. The other new business machine is the EliteBook Folio 9470m Ultrabook is designed to be thin, lightweight, and efficient. It has docking capabilities and swappable battery and is intended for the on the go professional user. The machine will launch on October 26 starting at $1049.
