The new $129.99 USD bundle will be available through much of the U.S. starting October 28

Nintendo will be releasing a whole new Wii bundle in time for the holiday season, and it will only cost $129.99 USD.

The new bundle will feature a black Wii console along with matching black Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controllers. It will also include both "Wii Sports" and Wii Sports Resort" games on one disc. The sports games include a variety of options like bowling, tennis, baseball, basketball, etc.

"Nearly six years after it launched, people are still attracted to the pure, inclusive fun of the Wii console," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "A new suggested retail price and the inclusion of two great games make it an easy choice for families looking for a great value this holiday season."

The new $129.99 USD bundle will be available through much of the U.S. starting October 28.

The price slash comes nearly a month before Nintendo plans to release its new Wii U console, which is due out in the U.S. November 18. There will be a basic model for $299.99 and a premium model for $349.99. The new system offers features like 2GB of memory, 1080p graphics and a new Wii U GamePad controller.

Right, I thought everyone already had a Wii. AFAIK, they rarely break, too. Typical Nintendo.

and yet all the flak against nintendo from the fanboi's who have spent upwards of $1500 on replacing their own beloved consoles because the stupid manufacturer couldn't find fundamental design flaws that affected 33% or more of all the consoles they sold.

...right.

Got a link on this? I have owned every single nintendo ever created, and other than having to blow out cartridges once in awhile on my super nes, and replacing a dvd drive on my wii (after 4 years for $50 at Nintendo) I have had zero problems. Not saying it didn't happen, just have not heard of that many problems.

I think he was referring to the Xbox/PS people that had to replace their consoles when they broke.
