Nokia uses an infographic to tout the Lumia 920's advantages

Samsung has definitely had its time to poke fun at Apple's recently announced (and soon to be released) iPhone 5. Last weekend, Samsung released a print ad that proclaimed "It doesn't take a genius" to select a Galaxy S III over the iPhone 5. Yesterday, Samsung got even bolder by releasing a new TV commercial that not only poked fun at the iPhone 5, but also the rabid fans that camp out for hours (if not days) to be the first to have the latest Apple smartphone.

Now, Nokia is having its fun in the sun with an infographic that touts the advantages of its Windows Phone 8 device -- the Lumia 920 -- over the iPhone 5. Naturally, Nokia points to a number of Lumia 920 highlights including wireless charging and the ability to use the touch screen with gloved hands.

So what do you guys think? Does Samsung or Nokia make a better case in countering the iPhone 5 juggernaut?

People tend to stick with the eco system that they have had a good experience with.

Apple devices have barely changed with each revision and people that already know the device and like it will just upgrade. Where Apple goes bad is no memory slot and changing connectors causing you to spend more on an adapter than the original product cost. If they are something your care about you move on.

Same with Android if they like the OS and device they will upgrade to newer hardware. Where Android goes bad is not every hardware device is a winner or ever can be upgraded. Is anyone even talking about an Android device other than the Samsung Galaxy S3?

Unless youve had a bad experience with Android or Apple your most likely going to stick with them when its time to upgrade.

In Microsoft favor there are people who actually like Microsoft OS's and the X-Box. The Phone OS is excellent rock solid and stable. Nokia is a well respected brand and so is Samsung so people who like those brands might give Windows Phone a try. The hardware is cutting edge now so those interested in 1080P video recording and expansion and items like usb standard may look at Windows Phone.

Microsoft is also building a top notch eco system - Microsoft Smart Glass - x-box and x-box live integration, cloud services, Sharepoint, Outlook/MSN, Exchange, Microsoft Office, 100K+ apps, marketplace was revamped recently, Microsoft Music service which is top notch zune pass although thats going be changing. Every one of them Microsoft says how can we be one step better than our competitors and I believe they are starting to deliver.

With Microsoft its not just about the Phone its about the eco system surrounding it. Microsoft is firing on all Cylinders going into the end of the year were going to see the most amazing things come from them in ages over the next year.

I agree. I'm excited to see the inter-product synergies that people are only now starting to really consider.

It's certainly Microsoft's stage, hopefully they will execute well. All signs point to yes.
