There are 250GB and 500GB versions that will be released throughout the fall

Sony announced that it will release another redesigned version of its PlayStation 3 console before the end of the year.

The latest PS3 console will be available in either 250GB and 500GB bundles. The 250GB bundle will come in either black or white and will have "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception" Game of the Year Edition included. The price tag is set at $269.99.

For those more interested in the 500GB model, it will come in black only alongside the "Assassin's Creed III" release. A price for this bundle hasnt been announced yet.

So what's the redesign exactly? The upcoming PS3 will be 25 percent slimmer than the last redesign, and will be a full 50 percent slimmer than the original PS3.

The black 250GB bundle will be available on September 25 while the white version will be released November 22. The black 500GB PS3 will hit store shelves October 30.

Seems like a really good deal to me. An amazing blue-ray player, media center, and gaming system. I bought the original PS3 40 gig version the day it came out, and I still get really good use out of it. It all depends on your idea of value though I guess.

Well, do you like waiting 20 seconds for your movie to load up, or 3 minutes?
