Players can use the pigs to build shelters and other contraptions for protection against the birds
With only a little over a week left until Rovio releases its latest game -- Bad Piggies -- the Angry Birds creator has released a few details on the gameplay.
According to Rovio, Bad Piggies will be a completely different franchise from Angry Birds because the gameplay is nothing like that found in the bird-flinging original.
While Angry Birds focuses on flinging birds into shelters that the pigs have built for safety, Bad Piggies is the opposite: gamers, which are playing as the pigs, create shelters out of various materials in hopes of gaining protection against the projectile birds.
The pigs will create various shelters, vehicles and flying machines that are anything but sturdy, and then put their creations to work against the birds. This may sound like a lot of work compared to Angry Birds, which only requires users to use a slingshot movement, but Rovio assures that it will still be quick and easy gameplay. Materials used to build the shacks and planes can be dragged and dropped into an already-mapped-out design.
Bad Piggies is due to release September 27 for iOS, Android and Mac.
