Canon Debuts New PowerShot Cameras, Full-frame EOS 6D D-SLR

Canon has rolled out four new digital cameras today including the PowerShot G15, S110, and SX50 HS. The three models share the same advanced high-speed autofocus systems allowing users to capture images quickly. The G15 and S110 cameras both have the same 12.1-megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS image sensor.
The G15 has an f/1.8-2.8, 5x optical zoom lens. It uses the Canon DIGIC 5 image processor and is capable of recording full HD resolution video. The G15 also features an integrated stereo microphone for quality sound and can shoot bursts at up to 10 frames per second in full resolution. The camera has a three-inch LCD on the back with a resolution of 922,000 dots the camera is also made to support conversion lens accessories and more.
The S110 has integrated Wi-Fi allowing users to share images on social-networking sites via a smartphone application or the Canon iMAGE GATEWAY. The camera has a 24 mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom. The S110 can also geotag images with GPS data. The camera can shoot bursts at up to 10 frames per second in full resolution and supports full HD resolution video recording with optical zoom while recording.
The SX50 HS has a powerful 50x zoom lens equating to 24-1200 mm. Canon promises that the image stabilization can keep blur out of your images even when zoomed in at 50 times. The camera has a 2.8-inch variable angle LCD with 461,000-dot resolution. It also has zoom framing assist to help you find and track your subjects when zoomed in fully.
The SX50 HS will be available in October for $479.99. The G15 and S110 will also be available in October at $499.99 and $449.99 respectively.
Canon has also unveiled a new D-SLR called the EOS 6D. This camera has a resolution of 20.2-megapixels and uses a full-frame CMOS sensor and the DIGIC 5+ image processor. It has integrated wireless and GPS features and 11-point autofocus array. The camera can record full HD resolution video and is aimed at photographers looking to step into the full-frame imaging world on a budget.
The camera is capable of shooting bursts at up to 4.5 frames per second in full resolution. The rear LCD is a three-inch unit with a resolution of 1,040,000 dots and 170° viewing angles. The camera is capable of recording full HD video at 30, 24, and 25 FPS or 720p video at 60 or 50 FPS.
The EOS 6D will be sold as body only at an estimated price of $2099. The kit version, including a 24-105 mm F/4L IS USM zoom lens will cost $2899. Both the kit and body only packages are expected to launch in December.

RE: Articulated LCDs?

Your articulated LCD is useless until they include a sunlight visible screen. Then, and only then, does regular daytime photography become remotely feasible in Liveview for anything other than pictures of the kids with Mickey.
My Canon's articulated screen is always closed outdoors because all it shows is subtle shapes and the faintest hint of color definition. You cannot discern focus. You can't find the grey-brown bird on the green-brown bush. Low shots, high shots, quick shots, action shots, panos... I do not use the screen at all outdoors. Now, if you're a party or studio photographer, then yes the articulation can be a godsend.
