Two new cameras are nearly identical
Olympus has pulled the wraps off two new interchangeable lens cameras that fall into its micro 4/3 system. The new cameras include the PEN Lite E-PL5 and the PEN Mini E-PM2. The E-PL5 is a 16.05-megapixel Live MOS image sensor and the TruePic VI image processing engine.
The camera promises fast autofocus for instantaneous autofocusing and a Touch AF Shutter using the live view screen. The camera also features 12 different art filters and a number of automated modes. The LCD on the rear the camera is adjustable and can flip up to align self-portraits. The touch shutter function allows the user to take a picture by touching the live view screen.
The rear LCD measures 3 inches and has 460,000-dot resolution. The screen is adjustable and can be flipped up 170° or 65° down. The E-PL5 features integrated sensor-shift image stabilization and can shoot bursts at eight frames per second and can record full HD resolution movies.

The E-PL5 will launch in October at $699 with a 14-42mm lens.
The E-PM2 also has 16.05-megapixel resolution Live MOS image sensor and the same TruePic VI image processing engine. However, the E-PM2 doesn’t feature a tilting display like its bigger brother or a mode dial on the top of its body.
The E-PMS does, however, feature the same fast autofocusing system and the touch AF Shutter on the 3-inch touchscreen panel. That last feature allows the user to touch the rear LCD to take a picture.
Olympus E-PM2
Like the E-PL5, the E-PM2 will launch in October, but will be priced at $599 with a 14-42mm lens.
