AT&T iPhone 5 will support voice and data simultaneously

No matter how you feel about the iPhone 5 that was unveiled this week, it's an interesting smartphone to most people. However, we're learning that the phone can't support cellular data and voice calls at the same time on certain 4G LTE networks.
Specifically, the iPhone 5 will be unable to handle simultaneous voice and data use on Verizon Wireless and Sprint versions of the device. This is due to a limitation in the CDMA specification that those two networks use. However, some 4G LTE smartphones on the Verizon network will allow users to make voice calls and use data connectivity at the same time. The iPhone 5 is unable to do this due to design decisions that Apple made.
“The iPhone 5 is designed to allow customers to make voice calls on the Verizon Wireless network and surf the Web on Wi-Fi,” Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney said in an e-mail. “It was an Apple decision."

The New York Times reports that when users place a voice call while connected to 4G LTE network the phone call the defaults to the carriers older second or third-generation networks because LTE networks can't support voice calls at this time.

The reason AT&T iPhone 5 buyers can place phone calls and use data at the same time is because both of those functions roll back to the older AT&T 3G network, which is capable handling both simultaneously.

Employee: Welcome to Phonemart how can I help you?

Fan: iPhone 5, where is the iPhone 5? I need an iPhone 5.

Employee: Oh, I'm sorry we are currently sold out... however we did get some new Galaxy S IIIs in.

Fan: What is that? Is it an iPhone?

Employee: No it's that LTE Android on every major carrier.

Fan: If it's not an iPhone, why would I want it?

Employee: Well it's similar to the iPhone 5, but has a bigger screen -- in fact the iPhone 5's screen was made larger in an effort to catch up.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It can do simultaneous voice and data.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It has NFC, swappable storage, and third party app stores.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It has a more vibrant and modern interface, which will soon be upgraded to Jelly Bean, which has voice command support that beats Siri in independent testing.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It has widgets and video wallpaper.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It f---ng prints money.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It can grant up to three wishes, even if one of those wishes is for an iPhone.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: It has an app that builds you an island and then it can transform into a f---ng jet and transport you there.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: ...and it's mother-f---ng indestructible.

Fan: I don't care.

Employee: Fine then what hell entices you about the iPhone 5, if you don't mind me asking?

Fan: It is an iPhone.

Employee: You do realize that doesn't mean anything? It's a brand. They could put out a f---ng brick and call it an iPhone.

Fan: Yes, but it's the best phone.

Employee: Can you explain how?

Fan: I can download apps to it.

Employee: Big f---ng deal my eight year-old piece of s--t Boost mobile phone has apps on it.

Fan: It's 4G and has the Wi-Fis

Employee: What the f--k do you even know what that even mean???

Fan: Um I ... it can ... um.

Employee: Listen, I'm out of the god d--n iPhone anyways. I guess if you're fine using s---ty ass networks and don't mind paying out the ass for the plan and the phone, and also don't mind don't having a brand new phone that's already behind the curve I can put you on our reservations list.

Fan: No I will just try somewhere else. I have to have it today.

Yea, just the recap of this bad boy

Microsoft did the same thing with Vista to trick people into thinking it was a new Operating system and people actually liked it.

Fact of the matter is, your average joe knows absolutely squat about technology in general and will just follow the crowd.

It's spot-on.

If you're an Apple consumer, you really are that stupid.

Stop whining and trying to deny it. You're f%cking stupid, and there's no way out of it.

Well it's not fair to call everyone that uses an iPhone stupid, I have one and have had one for 5 years. I've tried switching to Android but I can't find a phone that's actually quality enough for my liking. The Galaxy S II had a hell of a time connecting to my AP when every iPhone I've ever had had zero problems.
