quote: By contrast the DNP's platform, as I see it, is a bit different in a sense that much of its problematic material lies less in cognitively dissonant language, but rather in the inconsistencies that go unsaid.
quote: Not a bad piece Jason all in all. As a reader I feel like you try and tackle too many issues here, and I'm being pulled in a lot of directions, makes for a jarring read. When your Republican pieces were more focused on how much the party sucks etc etc. You didn't go all-in with the negativity here like I would have liked, kinda softballed them in places they deserve hammering. But no use getting into that again, pretty good article man.
quote: It's easy to see why that is. Democrats simply cannot be honest to the American people about their true objectives and goals, because if the people truly understood what the end-game was, they would vehemently appose them.
quote: They also cannot run a platform successfully based on their last 4 years of performance. Because there's nothing really positive there that people would want to vote for. Certainly not economically. Who would vote for 4 more years of this if one was truly objective?
quote: Honestly, we don't see eye to eye on everything, but I do hope Romney wins, albeit probably for a different reason for you. I could be wrong, but I firmly believe that if Romney wins 4 years down the road, underemployment/unemployment will still be high, wages will continue their climb downhill, the tax code will be as messy as ever, and the national debt will have continued its uphill trek. At that point I think maybe both sides will be able to step back and see what their parties have become.
quote: Go ahead and say what you really want to happen Jason; that being everyone adopting a libertarian viewpoint and elect Ron Paul! So we can enjoy late 1800’s style isolationist foreign policy (fight enemies on our soil rather than theirs), sacrifice 75% of our national productivity to drug abuse(ain’t alcohol bad enough?) pay a VAT for all our goods and services(fair tax garbage) we as a people have enough problems.
quote: I hear ya, thanks for the feedback, no hard feelings.
quote: Honestly, we don't see eye to eye on everything, but I do hope Romney wins, albeit probably for a different reason for you.
quote: Did you miss all that hope and change in 2008?
quote: Maybe I should have said that Obama pushed and implemented many policies that the Republican party had pushed in the past.
