Only available for Lumia handset users
Nokia has been taking a beating on the smartphone market over the last year. The company has been unable to produce a smartphone that captured the interest of consumers around the world
leading to sinking profits
The company has

on Windows Phone 8, and some analysts think a failure could spell the end for Nokia.
Today, however, Nokia has announced something that is possibly more interesting than the smartphones the company has been trying to sell. The company's free music streaming service Nokia Music has launched in the U.S. The free music streaming service is exclusive for
Nokia Lumia handsets
The service promises over 150 exclusive playlists that are curated and kept up-to-date by an expert team of U.S. “musicologists”. Available playlists span a wide spectrum of genres, including things such as Detroit house tracks to selections from the New York Philharmonic. The playlists also cover pop artists such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Lana Del Ray.
The service also allows fans to create their own soundtrack using a Create function to access a library containing millions of songs to generate playlists based on or inspired by musical artists they love. All the tracks are advertisement free, and no registration or subscription is required. The service also allows users to listen to their playlists off-line.
"The USA is the most vibrant and competitive digital music market in the world - by a wide margin. We have worked extra hard to ensure our service meets the expectations of the demanding, active and inspired music fans in the USA. I would like to challenge everyone to try Nokia Music and see just how easy and enjoyable the service is to use," says Jyrki Rosenberg, VP of Entertainment at Nokia.
Nokia Music also has a feature called Gig Finder allows users to find live concerts and shows taking place in the area. Nokia says that users who own a Lumia 900 are Lumia 710 can download the Nokia Music free right now.

How will this compare next to something like Spotify? Ive been using it for about a year when a catastrophic series of events lead to me losing all my digital music files - havent really looked back.
I'm pretty sure that the selection of music would be less extensive than Spotify's. Also, Spotify radio is garbage when compared to one of the many free, niche internet radio stations around, despite its epic library. How will this be any better?
