"Driving, murdering, stealing, oh my!"

Rockstar Games' highly anticipated sequel to the smash hit Grand Theft Auto: IV is shaping up nicely, although we still don’t have a definite release date for the game. But in the mean time, Rockstar is whetting the appetites of eager fans with three fresh in-game screenshots of Grand Theft Auto: V:

You know how much fun me and friends had with that openness? Tons. Try to jump the grand canyon and then laugh for 5 minutes as your car sinks to the bottom of the river with a ridiculously appropriate for the situation song plays on the radio.

Go to the top of a sky scrapper, spawn vehicles with cheat codes, and then have fun running them off the top. Or see who could go the farthest and longest with the hover craft(quite far for quite long actually).

The fact that you managed to find "something to do" with that unnecessarily empty and huge map does NOT mean that it was a good idea to create an unnecessarily empty and huge map. You could have still jumped the Grand Canyon if the area down below you was still littered with quests, missions, jobs, or even just interesting doodads to look at. I'm not asking for much, just something more than behemoth polygons and a handful of shrub sprites.

Just because you didn't like the openness doesn't mean that it didn't add value to others. The Game was huge. I loved the races and the way you could go around exploring just "because' Flying using mods was awesome too, i.e. tie fighter.

The mini games were cool for me Those are the things I missed most in the GTAIV. I loved doing the police, ambulance taxi and other missions for ultimate bonuses wear an ugly taxi or the pop up guns and ammo.

I got so addicted to GTA:SA. There was just so much variety. If you got bored of one thing, you could always find something a lot different to do: missions, challenges, races, driving/flying/boating/motorcycle schools, customizing your character. Going for 100% game completion required a sick amount of time and dedication. GTA 4 added some new content and it also polished things up a lot, which was really needed. However, it dropped a bit too much content and a lot of things that were very fun.

According to the Wikipedia page, it will be based in Los Santos !!! Awesome. I'm getting really excited about this one now. There was such a great variety of areas in GTA SA.
