The leaks continue for Sony's new tablet

Last week, we provided you with details on Sony's upcoming Xperia Tablet courtesy of leaked slides. Well, the faucet is still dripping and today actual photos of the device started pouring onto the internet.
There's nothing new to add as far as specs go, so you can just ogle these pictures for now:

As previously reported, the Xperia Tablet will be priced on the high side for Android-based tablets with the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models ringing in at $449, $549, and $649 respectively.

Now it's time to play the 'how long until this gets discontinued' Sony theme game. Seriously, there are so many other better tablets out there, why would anyone buy this offering.

The same questions you'd ask of people buying an iPad, why is this unique to Sony?

Many IPAD buyers are not just buying it for its functions. Apple has successfully created a niche of tech fashion. It's fashionable to carry and Iproduct for many general consumers.

Most IProduct buyers are even addicted to having the newest version of the same product. Even though the same IOS is used in 3 different products.....Itouch, Iphone, and Ipad.

Now the new IOS will be limited to only the newest versions...but is there really that big a difference between the incoming IOS and current? I'm guessing most users will not experience a boost in productivity. It's still very limiting when it comes to doing real work.

Best wishes,

Now the new IOS will be limited to only the newest versions

iOS 6 works on the iPad 2, the iPod Touch from 2010, and the iPhone 3GS from 2009.

The iPad has the best app selection, the best display, and the fastest internal hardware.

Even an early 2011 iPad has faster hardware than what's in the latest Android tablets:

The question is why anyone would buy any sort of Android tablet outside of the Nexus 7. At least that is only $200. Everything else is slower, has worse displays, and an anemic tablet app library.
