New Sony tablet looks interesting, but can it compete with the iPad

If you're a fan of Sony's Android tablets such as the Tablet S that launched a while back, you may be interested hear this. What appears to be a set of slides used for internal purposes at Sony has leaked online showing an unannounced tablet.
The tablet is billed as the Sony Xperia Tablet and is presumed to be the successor to the Tablet P. One of the slides shows that the new tablet is 8.8 mm thick at its thinnest point and 11.85 mm thick at its thickest point.
Those dimensions make it 42% thinner than its predecessor. The display of the new tablet is 9.4-inches, and it has a resolution of 1280x800. The operating system is said to be "at least" Android 4.0, though it would make sense for Sony to launch the tablet with Jelly Bean. The slides also show the tablet will be offered with 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB of internal storage and there'll be a version of the tablet with 3G mobile broadband.
The tablet will have integrated Bluetooth 3.0, a SD card slot for storage expansion, and stereo speakers. The tablet has a 6000 mAh battery and uses NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor.
The slides also show an interesting accessory cover that acts as a stand and has an integrated keyboard. That integrated keyboard cover is reminiscent of what Microsoft has included with its Surface tablet.
One of the slides lists tentative pricing for the tablet and various accessories. According to the slide, the 16 GB tablet will sell for $449.99, the 32 GB version will sell for $549.99, and the 64 GB version will sell for $649.95. The docking stand with the integrated keyboard is listed at $99.99.

They also like to use stupid names like Xperia. Is that EXperia or Zperia? While I am sure it is the EX sound, it doesn't help that Motorola put out a XOOM tablet with a Z sound. Everyone laughed at the iPad name, but the reality is the name is short, concrete, and a house hold word now. No one is going to be saying "oh you got an Xperia, nice"

I am not a fan of Apple products, but they at least have the marketing down where the rest of these stupid companies fall flat on their faces.

I doesn't really matter how stupid the name is, if you sell millions of them people get used to it.

It affects brand recognition. I remember when Sony had their line of Wega TVs and people constantly had to say "Yeah I got a Sony Wega or Vega, not sure how to pronounce it". It was spelled WEGA but pronounced VEGA, and all it did was confuse people.

Don't forget about Vaio, and worse the logo used a font that made it look like Uaio...
