New gaming mouse has its own fan
Thermaltake has been building peripherals such as mice and keyboards under its Tt eSports name for quite a while. The company has now announced a new gaming mouse aimed at gamers who want to keep their mitts cool during intense gaming sessions. If you're the sort of gamer that gets sweaty palms, may be exactly what you need.
The Black Element Cyclone Edition gaming mouse includes an accessory cooling fan that appears to plug-in on the top of the mouse near the cable. The little fan spins to 6000 RPM, can move 2.7 CFM of air, and produces 21.7 dB of noise. The little fan measures 30 x 30 x 10 mm and has a life expectancy of 50,000 hours.
Other features of the mouse are rather run-of-the-mill in the gaming mouse crowd, including a laser sensor with up to 6500 dpi sensitivity. The sensitivity is adjustable between 100 and 5600 dpi and the mouse will function on most surfaces. The “game” switches used in the mouse buttons are good for lifespan of up to 5 million keystrokes and the mouse has nine fully customizable buttons.
The mouse has an array of lights and offers five individual lighting effect colors, including red, blue, green, pink, and white blue. To help keep a grip on the mouse when you have slippery hands, the top surface is coated with an industrial-grade rubber material. The mouse has 128 kB of onboard memory allowing the gamer to store 45 different macro keys across five game profiles.
