New data plans for business users
T-Mobile is trying to lure in business users with new broadband mobile data plans aimed at mobile professionals. The company has two new suites of mobile data plans focused on access for tablets, laptop modems, and mobile hotspots. The new plans will offer 500 MB, 2 GB, 5 GB, and 10 GB of data, but you have two different ways of using that data.
Using the “Overage Free Plans”, customers will have their data speeds throttled once they go past their monthly allotment. For those on “High-Speed Plans”, you’ll continue to enjoy full-speed internet connectivity, but will be faced with overage charges once you use up your monthly allotment. Users wanting the fastest possible speed can opt to pay for overages at $.02-$.10 per megabyte depending on the data allotment selected.

“Over the past five years, the amount of data crossing T-Mobile’s network has grown by 146 times. This growth in data usage and the associated cost is top of mind for our business customers – from small businesses through large multinational corporations,” said Frank Sickinger, vice president of business sales at T-Mobile. “In combination with our portfolio of compelling 4G mobile broadband devices, the availability of our new overage-free and high-speed data plans empowers our customers to not only choose the right amount of data, but, more importantly, choose a plan that best addresses their business priorities.”
