Two BB10 smartphones get an early reveal via leaked slides

Although RIM currently appears to be bleeding out after many self-inflicted knife wounds, new leaked slides show that the company is still hard at work on fresh hardware to headline its BlackBerry 10 operating system. The slides shows two devices, the L-Series (London) full-touch screen device and its N-Series (Nevada) QWERTY keyboard-equipped sibling.
Although not much is known about the hardware inside the phones, the L-Series is said to feature a 768x1280 OLED display (356 PPI) and is 2.16" wide. The L-Series looks similar to the dev hardware that was shown off at the official unveil of BlackBerry 10.

The N-Series' screen size is obviously compromised by its physical keyboard and is limited to a 720x720 screen resolution (330 PPI). The N-Series is slightly narrower at 2.08".
For comparison, the iPhone 4S and Galaxy S III weigh in at 326 PPI and 306 PPI respectively.
According to N4BB, the L-Series could make its way to the market in September, while those looking for some physical keyboard action with the N-Series will have to wait until the first quarter of 2013.

How is RIM bleeding out if they are still making profit????

All that bad press! I wonder who is paying for it!!! In my country we have a saying:
"If a rumor is passed that your sister is a whore, it is hopeless for you to try to prove to the people that you don't even have a sister."

They arent making profit. The BES service is still taking in a good amount of money, but the hardware side is losing it in higher #'s. Both the playbook and the phones are losing duckets.

Prove that they are losing money right now. Prove your claim, please!

??? Prove my claim? They release quarterly results publicly and they lost money. It's not like something I made up, its public knowledge as with any publicly traded company.

Furthermore they announce their latest quarterly earnings this Thursday and have already put it out there that they are operating at loss.

Massive unsold inventories, continued market share losses, consistently behind schedule, lack of innovation, etc...

Just like Nortel, it went from market darling to pennystock status.

Yep, this does not mean they are making any losses...

Their profits might be lower than before but they are not making any losses yet and they are not dead.

Really! Can anybody tell me why are you all hating Blackberry so much?

BTW. RIM are trying to innovate something that is quite interesting alternative. If they manage to do it properly, BB10 will be so much more than Android or iOS.
RIM has two problems though:
1. They are a bit late
2. They cannot obviously do a proper marketing of their products these days.
Maybe another problem is that they lack focus.

Why? Because it's still being run by incompetent leaders after Bastille was shown the door. It was on a decline by the time RIM v. NTP ended. Whatever it's doing now is buying time until excrement really hits the fan.
