Acer is ready to get official with the Iconia Tab A700, which was previously shown at CES 2012. The tablet has a 10-inch screen, an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
One of the more interesting features of the tablet is that the 10-inch screen has full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200. Acer promises that the battery is good for 10.5 hours of video playback and that the tablet should will high-quality sound with Dolby Mobile 3 and support for 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound via HDMI out.
"Consumers have embraced their tablets as a mobile hub for their daily lives, and the full HD display on the Acer A700 will give customers a fresh new perspective on the apps, games and digital media they enjoy," said Paul Tayar, director of product marketing for connected devices, Acer America. "Customers looking for a no-compromise tablet will get the features and performance they want in the new Acer A700."
The Iconia Tab A700 also has expandable storage thanks to a microSD card slot and it also has a micro-USB port. As of today, the tablet is up for pre-order in the United States and Canada with a 32 GB version of the tablet selling for $449.99.
