If it costs $139 for an ipod touch 4th gen (saw it on slickdeals a few days ago), then why the hell does it cost $500 more for an ipod touch with $10 more battery and maybe $30 worth of Transceivers and related circuitry??? Where the hell do they get off charging over $400 beyond the cost of the parts? And who the hell is dumb enough to fork over that kind of money when you could just buy a $50 phone that does pretty much the same thing. iPhone might have a smoother interface than say a $50 castrated Optimus, but there is no way that is worth $500. An economy built on such consumer stupidity is headed stright for disaster.
“Then they pop up and say ‘Hello, surprise! Give us your money or we will shut you down!' Screw them. Seriously, screw them. You can quote me on that.” -- Newegg Chief Legal Officer Lee Cheng referencing patent trolls
