Single core socket S1 for all

AMD has silently introduced three new S1 processors following the yesterday’s launch of the Turion 64 X2 Mobile. The new Mobile Sempron arrives in 3200+, 3400+, and 3500+ models in Socket S1 with support for DDR2 memory. Pricing is expected to be around $107, $134, and $142 in batches of 1000.

There haven’t been any specific details on the new processors available yet but it’s expected to be a single core x86-64 compatible processor with 256KB or 512KB L2 cache configurations. Clock speed is still unknown at this time but it wouldn’t be too surprising to see speeds around  2GHz.

As with all other AMD mobile processors the new Mobile Sempron supports AMD PowerNow! and Digital Media Xpress technologies. Don’t expect the Mobile Sempron to arrive in thin & light notebooks though. AMD is targeting the Mobile Sempron as a value level processor for entry level notebooks that tend to be average size.

Mobile users should expect socket S1 based Sempron notebooks to be coupled with the ATI Xpress 1100 or NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100/6150 chipsets.

Duron was discontinued years ago...Semprons are the current value line.
That should clear most of it up for you...
One other thing, there's Turion as well as Turion X2. X2 signifies dual core.
