That was my thought as well. The current card I have handles Skyrim on high with just about every high resolution pack out their and it only has 1GB of memory. So I'm thinking doubling the amount will get me by for the next 2 years.

Wha I have several Skyrim mods that seem to use > 1GB vram plus unmodded games like BF3, Total War, GTAIV, and I also heard AVP uses > 1GB. I was thinking these new AA schemes would dial that back quite a bit.
