Two years from now other modules will launch
China is looking to make itself into a technology,
, and space power over the coming years. China wanted to be part of the ISS, but NASA would not allow the country to participate. Rather than sulk in the corner, the Chinese have set about building an ISS rival and the first section of that rival space station has now been launched into orbit.
The first section of the Chinese space station, called Tiangong-1, was launched into orbit successfully. The Tiangong-1 module lifted off aboard a Long March 2FT1 rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. MSNBC reports that the module is about the size of a boxcar and is in orbit 217 miles above the Earth.
The Chinese say that the module will be used to survey Chinese farmland using special cameras and will conduct an experiment that involves growing crystals in space.
After the launch of this first module, China plans to launch an unmanned Shenzhou 8 spacecraft to practice remote controlled docking procedures with the orbiting module. The Tiangong-1 name means "Heavenly Place-1" and it will stay in space alone for two years. After the 2-year window, China will send two more modules up for more tests and then the actual space station will be launched in three sections in 2020 to 2022.
"This is a significant test. We've never done such a thing before," Lu Jinrong, the launch center's chief engineer, was quoted as saying by the official Xinhua News Agency.
The launch of the module was delayed for a year due to technical issues with the launch rockets. The Long March 2C rocket failed to reach orbit kicking off an investigation into the cause of the failure.
As the Chinese gear up to launch their space station, NASA is looking to
deorbit the ISS

To the US citizens...

So while you guys are fighting about who is right, who is wrong, what did Obama do right or wrong, about the best times, etc, etc, etc….
Go to China, visit one of their warehouses and see how hard they work… just watch for 10 minutes and see how they labour for their bread.
America used to be this way. The average American USED to believe that their work meant something and they were changing something somewhere somehow… BUT now you “export your pop culture” because it TRUELY is the only thing you export – that and California GM Oranges.
Before you backlash at me, here’s why I say this: a few weeks back, I went for a 3 day consulting session for a US Based company. They had 3 months to prep a single server to make sure it had the right access to a specific file. The person in charge had missed an email, and they had not delegated this task and were too busy at the time… So when I arrived and met the Point of Contact, we spend 1 day trying to find out why the software we were trying to configure didn’t function. After some investigative work, we visited the right person(s). NO one wanted to accept responsibility for the mistake, and worse, no one stepped up to resolve the issue, which is as simple as 2 mins for a regular user to resolve. Think of this like sharing a printer with your network on Windows XP… Right click, Share, pretty much done. They just sat there trying to find ways to excuse themselves with well positioned words... I was thinking "lets get this done, and move on!".
The problem is that too many of Americans are Lazy…. Too Lazy for the economy of today and 20 years ago. You don’t produce anything anymore, or want to. This isn't what was happening years back, it's what you are doing right now. You let your CEO and corporations rule you while you’re watching your Real House Wives of bleh. Even your TV is no longer watchable - its content is so dry and pointless. Almost all of your movies are about World War 2. Your unions no longer existent… man I could yap all day long. My point is Rome was great and it fell from within.
Anyways, I love a world where USA is the leader and not another nation, but it is ending and people everywhere else in the world know that.
Not to say its good news for us in Canada since you are our biggest trading partner…
PS: Obama changed your country for the better, and it’s the Bush/Reagan Administration who fugged the average joe. Obama is trying to fix it, and he needs time. If a thing is worth having, it is worth waiting for.
