Flash
memory storage company SanDisk Corporation has announced a new lineup of flash storage solutions, including the Memory Vault, to better preserve
important digital content.
"Our flash storage solutions help consumers capture more photos, load
their mobile apps faster, share exciting moments with friends and preserve
their memories for generations to come," said Bob O'Keefe, vice president
of retail marketing for SanDisk.
The new
lineup of memory capture/storage products includes the SanDisk
Memory Vault, the 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-l card, the 64GB SanDisk
Mobile Ultra microSDXC card, the Cruzer Fit/Cruzer Switch USB flash drives,
SanDisk SecureAccess Software, and the ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0
Reader/Writer.
The SanDisk Memory Vault is a photo album that was made to be passed down from
generation to generation. While hard drives have moving parts and CDs can
scratch, the Memory Vault preserves images in one location, and connects to a
computer's USB port for drag-and-drop functionality. It uses SanDisk's
Chronolock technology for memory management and solid-state storage,
guaranteeing that a user's photos and other documents will be preserved for up
to 100 years.
The Memory Vault is available in 8GB and 16GB capacities
for $49.99 and $89.99 respectively.
The 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-l card allows photographers to capture
important moments with 90 MB per second (MB/sec) write speeds and 95 MB/sec
read speeds that support transfers of photos in "half the time." The
card is based on the latest SD 3.0 specification's Ultra High Speed (UHS) bus
architecture and has the fastest write performance in the world to date. It is
available now in 8GB to 64GB capacities starting at $109.99.
The UHS-based 64GB SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC card doubles the
capacity of even the most technologically advanced smartphones and tablets with
30 MB/sec transfer speeds and Class 6 performance to capture full HD videos.
It's compatible with any smartphone or tablet with a microSDXC slot, and ranges
from 4GB to 64GB starting at $24.99.
The Cruzer Fit flash drive is the size of a dime with 4GB to 16GB capacities
starting at $24.99 while the Cruzer Switch USB flash drive offers a slider-less
and cap-less design available in 2GB to 32GB capacities starting at $19.99.
The SanDisk SecureAccess Software features online backup and encryption tools
on nearly all USB drives. It also offers a password-protected vault on the
drive with up to 2GB available.
The ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Reader/Writer is based on a USB 3.0 interface
transfer performance of 500 MB/sec. It supports all major card formats, cuts
transfer time when downloading content from a card to a computer, and is
backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices. It is available for $49.99.
All products are now available on SanDisk.com, and will be released to
retailers next month.
