The new tablet will be available exclusively to AT&T customers on September 4, 2011

AT&T customers will soon be able to purchase the company's first 4G LTE/HSPA+ tablet, the HTC Jetstream.

HTC Jetstream features a 10.1" WXGA HD screen with a third-generation Snapdragon 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It weighs 25 ounces, supports Adobe Flash Player, has an expandable memory of up to 32GB and has a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera as well as a rear facing 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash. In addition, HTC Jetstream will utilize the HTC Sense UX graphical user interface for tablets.

"This tablet is a beautiful 10.1-inch, LTE-powered masterpiece," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president of Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "When you combine powerful options like HTC Jetstream with our upcoming LTE technology and nationwide HSPA+ network, it flies."

HTC Jetstream is not only AT&T's first 4G LTE/HSPA+ tablet, but also the first 4G tablet to run on the Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system. This particular OS was made specifically for mobile devices with larger screens (such as tablets), and is expected to improve browsing, multi-tasking, notifications and customization for Jetstream users. In addition, the new platform will offer access to Google Talk with video chat via Wi-Fi, over three million Google eBooks, incognito mode for Web browsing and Google Maps 5.0 with 3D-like interaction.

"HTC Jetstream combines the acclaimed HTC Sense experience with Android Honeycomb to provide an innovative and engaging experience on a 10.1-inch tablet," said Martin Fichter, acting president of HTC Americas Region. "Paired with AT&T's upcoming 4G LTE speed and mobility, HTC Jetstream delivers connectivity tools in a portable package."

HTC Jetstream will come preloaded with AT&T Family Map, HTC Hub, HTC Watch, Friendstream, AT&T Navigator and Android Market.

The new 4G LTE/HSPA+ tablet will be available exclusively to AT&T customers on September 4, 2011. The price for tablets purchased online or in company-owned retail stores is $699.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T postpaid customers will have a new $35, 3GB monthly data plan option with their two-year contract, but those who do not want a long-term commitment have the following options: Postpaid customers can pay $14.99 for 250MB or $25 for 2GB, and those who exceed their monthly data will be charged $10 per 1GB of overage. Prepaid customers can pay $14.99 for 250MB or $25 for 2GB as well, but have the option to purchase an additional 2GB for $25 if they run over their monthly data allotment. All charges will appear on a single monthly wireless statement.

Sure it's easy to say things like that when you're not considering the laborers killing themselves because of terrible work conditions.

What the hell does laborer working conditions have to do with it?!?

Even if the tab was cheap, the laborers would still be working in the same conditions so I don't see your point (if, by chance, you actually had one).

If you have such a problem with laborers working conditions then do something about it...Oh I see, it's just easier to complain about it on a Tech Blog then to actually put your time/money were your mouth is.

Maybe we're too accustomed to ridiculously cheap electronics

What? are you butt hurt about economics?? back in the day I paid $2000+ (back when $2000 was worth way more then it is now) for a computer and now that prices have come down, you bitch about it?
