Many unauthorized biographies have been written about Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs, but in April of this year, it was announced that he finally gave author Walter Isaacson permission to write a biography about his life. 

Now, the Barnes and Noble website has listed the release of Isaacson's book as November 21, 2011. Originally, the Jobs biography release date was March 6, 2012. 

Isaacson, a former top executive at CNN and Time who is now president and CEO of the Aspen Institute, has written a 448-page biography based on 40 interviews with Jobs as well as additional interviews with his family, friends, colleagues, competitors, and adversaries. 

The book was originally rumored to be titled "iSteve: The Book of Jobs," but is now simply titled "Steve Jobs: A Biography." The biography describes Jobs' personal life as well as his professional life, detailing how he revolutionized personal computers, music, phones, tablet computing, digital publishing and animated movies. 

While the biography was approved by Jobs, he had control of what was put into Isaacson's book. 

"I've done a lot of things I'm not proud of, such as getting my girlfriend pregnant when I was 23 and the way I handled that," said Jobs. "But I don't have any skeletons in my closet that can't be allowed out."

In addition to a new release date, the front and back cover of the biography is available for show as well. It is true to the look and feel of Apple, with a very clean and to the point look along with black and white images. 

Many suspected that the earlier-than-expected release date was due to Jobs' health, but Isaacson noted that this was not the case. Rather, the book nearly finished in June, and is now complete.
