The partnership aims to deliver a full spectrum of sound that replicates what producers and artists hear in the studio on HTC devices
Mobile designer HTC Corporation has announced that it is teaming up with Beats Electronics LLC to give HTC phones an
advanced audio experience
Beats Electronics LLC was created by artist and producer Dr. Dre as well as Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records Jimmy Iovine in 2006. The company aims to deliver a full spectrum of sound that replicates what producers and artists hear in the studio. To do this, the company developed a new type of headphone that is capable of delivering music and sounds nearly at the level of quality heard in these studios.
Now, HTC, which is one of the fastest-growing mobile companies in the industry,
is partnering with Beats Electronics
to give customers the full sound experience on an HTC device.
"The HTC and Beats by Dr. Dre partnership is an opportunity for two world-class companies to redefine the smart phone industry and define the future," said Iovine. "For Beats by Dr. Dre, this represents a critical step in our continued mission to clean up the destruction of audio caused by the digital revolution and re-engineer how sound is delivered so that the consumer feels the music the way that the artist intended."
Beats Electronics will benefit because its system will be deployed on a fast-growing brand's devices, and HTC can benefit as well by having advanced audio systems by a brand that will accelerate HTC's "entry into the youth and accessories markets" around the world. Consumers who are looking for a better audio experience will now have more options in the mobile market as well.
"Beats has found a unique way to harness popular culture in a manner that us unlike other other brands today," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. "It's an exciting brand that has been built around providing something very special, and we believe our strategic partnership will provide customers with unbeatable sound on
. We obsess over every detail of a consumer's mobile experience and audio is a critical part of the experience."
HTC phones with Beats integration are expected to be released this Fall, but there are no exact dates at this time.

Because you care more about corporate branding schemes that have little to do with actual performance than you think you do.

Tell me about it.
So let me get this strait. Studio quality headphones that people will use to listen to thier 160mbps lossy MP3s.
Garbage in....garbage out. Buy hey, it's got a name so it must be better sounding. Excuse me, I've got to go shopping now. I need a pair of Air Jordans to be a better basketball player, a Bose wave radio because it fills the room with sound, and an iPhone because it makes me hipper.

I'm actually surprised that they can get away with saying it delivers studio accurate audio.
Isn't this blatant false advertising? There's really no creativity or exaggeration being displayed here....they're pretty much saying beats are accurate, even though beats headphones cutoff entire frequencies just to get you that low midrange "thump" people like to call bass.
