Israel and Iran are actively engaged in a cyber war aimed at giving one nation the upper hand

Political tension remains extremely high between Israel and Iran, as both nations understand that their cyber technologies are important.

The U.S. and Israel have noticed Iran's growing cyber ability still has limited offensive capability, but improved defensive ability to counter foreign attacks.  Iran has already accused the U.S. CIA and Israeli Mossad of an attempted attack, but neither nation has taken responsibility for the effort.

Cyber warfare allows each nation to engage in aggressive attacks without direct military attacks against one another.  Iranian officials noted they detected attempted U.S. intrusions, and reportedly have the capability of launching their own attacks against the U.S. infrastructure.

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano previously pointed out that most nations don't even have a legal framework for dealing with cyber issues.

The newly structured cyber command unit will report directly to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu -- the new department is now developing ways to defend against cyber attacks from Iran and other possible enemies.

"Israel has two principal targets in Iran’s cyberspace," noted an Israeli security specialist.  "The first is its military nuclear program and its military establishment. The second is Iran’s civil infrastructure. Attacking both, we hope, will cripple the entire country’s cyberspace.”

Cyber warfare can be used as a successful tool as opposed to actual warfare, though it can be used interchangeably.  The IDF said computers and keyboards are the newer weapons, while social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook can be valuable online resources.

China and Eastern Europe launch sometimes well-organized cyber attacks against western targets, while the United States scrambles to increase cyber attack and defense skills.  If unable to defend its infrastructure, there is concern related to utilities and financial institutions facing serious threat.

Israel has a very active and modern military including newest generation aircraft and UAVs, along with specialized anti-terror units.  The country's cyber efforts need to increase while Iran and other rivals publicly boast about possible cyber capabilities against the U.S. and Israel.

Chinese hackers recently targeted South Korean computer networks, and successfully swooped up 35 million Koreans' personal information.  A looming cyber-war between the U.S. and China seems likely, even though no one is really sure what that exactly means

What are you talking about? Have you ever even been to Israel?? I've been there many times and I'm Italian! Israel is a complete democracy almost exactly like the U.S. and Canada. Iran is a murderous bunch of "anti-everything" jag offs! Anti-Semite, Anti-Christian, Anti-Gay, Anti-women. Where do you get off saying Israel uses their history as a political weapon? Are you that much of a moron? A leader of a hostile country is building nukes and wants to wipe another country off the map and you have the balls to say something stupid like that? Palestinians teach their kids to strap bombs on their body and die before their God by blowing themselves up among innocent people! These are nut jobs! Learn about a place before you comment, mule brain.

Nice name calling I can tell straight away you're a nice person. It's sort of funny I write about how Israel deals with critique and I get called the worst things.

Where did I say change in Iran should not happen?

When I'm saying Israel is using their history as a weapon then I refer to them calling any critic a anti-semitic in the hopes the critics will shut up because no one wants to be branded a nazi. Here is just one example where Israel reacted to criticism, which was well founded, and accused the critics of being anti-semitic.

http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2009/...

Did you watch the movie I referred to?

Where did I say one can not visit Israel?

And as for the Palestinians teach their kids to strap bombs on their body that is total propaganda BS. Besides even if it was so then what innocents are you talking about - the Israeli that holds a people in camps pretty much using them as slave labors.

The Palestinians are fighting for their freedom and use what means they got. If my country was occupied then I'd do my best to make the occupiers get the hell out just as I'm sure you would if Italy was occupied.

BTW. Maybe you need to look up how Israel was founded, surely you did not forget the Zionist bombings like the one the King David Hotel in which 91 people was killed and many wounded.

Israel is a state build on terrorism and it is conducting state terrorism.

How can u call them freedom fighters??? who said its their land??? they came there seeking for work when the turks ruled, there was no country there before israel was founded, its like saying that americans indians can now found a country inside the US and u will be fine with that...
if there was no israel the territory would be divided between jordan, egypt and syria... no one would give a f**k about a bunch of refuges (aka Palestinians)
Personally i thank god for Israel...

Wow, you really are an idiot. First, you quote the very anti-Israel media outlet Al Jazeera to make an anti-Israel point. Then, you "prove" they're terrorists by citing a hotel bombing that occurred 65 years ago (which, if you read the article you'd see that the Israelis warned the British to leave before bombing the building - what kind of "terrorist" does that?) Finally, you try to prove that they are a terrorist state by citing a propaganda website run by an anti-semite (just read his "why I'm not a Jew" page). What does this website all about terrorism say about Palestinian terrorists that slaughter families in their sleep or that target civilian buses during peak hours? Oh that's right - nothing.

As someone who's lived in Israel for some time, I have to point out the fact that there are Palestinians in Israel who live better than anywhere else in the area. Syria keeps them in camps, Jordanians treat them as second class citizens, and Israel takes many of them in. The issue is with Hamas's terrorist regime hell-bent on Israel's destruction (it's actually written in their Constitution). Take a drive one day on Hwy 90 through the West Bank and check out all the Palestinian refugees' big multi-story mansions and BMWs/Audis/Mercedes, etc - you'll never see that on TV.

Oh yeah - if you really want to see what bad terrorists the Israelis are, watch this UN speech.
