Honeycomb tablets finally deliver
It happened a week later than we originally expected, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now widely available to purchase in Best Buy stores across America, as well as the obligatory online stores (Amazon, New Egg, et al).
The 10.1-inch, Android Honeycomb 3.1-based tablet has garnered positive reviews, thanks to its slim design, light weight, and commendable battery life — looking like a valid challenger to the iPad's tablet crown.
Powered by a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, the Tab 10.1 comes in 16GB and 32GB iterations, priced at $499 and $599 respectively. Currently, Wi-Fi-only models are all that are available, although an HSPA+ version will be available soon for a $130 premium.
