HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G to launch June 24

Sprint today officially announced the next devices in its popular HTC EVO lineup: the EVO 3D smartphone and the EVO View 4G tablet.

We got an early look at both devices from HTC back in March, and not much has changed since then. The EVO 3D is still being touted as America's first "glasses-free" 3D smartphone, while the View 4G is being labeled "the first 4G tablet" on the market.

Both devices are set to launch June 24 exclusively from Sprint. The EVO 3D will run $199.99 with a qualifying two-year contract, and the View 4G will run $399.99. They can be pre-ordered at any Sprint store with the purchase of a $50 gift card.

Here's a quick spec recap:

Powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC's Sense UI. In addition to the 720p 3D HD video camera, it includes a 1.3-inch megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, WiMAX capability, DLNA support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, stereo Bluetooth, and a 1730 mAh Lithium-ion battery.

Dimensions: 5.0" x 2.6" x .48" (LxWxT)
Weight: 6 ounces
Main display: 4.3-inch 3D QHD capacitive display (960 x 540)
Memory: 4GB Internal memory/1GB RAM; Expandable memory: 8GB microSD card included; supports up to 32GB.

Boasts a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 touchscreen, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 5-megapixel main camera with HD-video capability, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one for video chat, and the latest version of HTC's Sense UI on top of Android Gingerbread (which will be updated to Honeycomb in the near future). It also includes 32GB internal memory, 1GB RAM, a microSD slot, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and a 4000 mAh Lithium-ion battery.

For a limited time, customers will receive the HTC Scribe pen (a $79.99 value) for free with purchase of the View tablet.

I'm far more excited for the sensation over the Evo-3-D

Sensation specs at least what I've read on it is, that it's a stipped down EVO 3D alot of similar parts without all the bonus hardware...

What does the Sensation offer over the EVO 3D? I thought they were the same hardware wise, except for the 3D aspect. I would imagine the Sensation should be a bit cheaper, which could make it attractive if you just want high performance and don't want to pay a premium for 3D capability.

They both cost $199 at launch with 2 year contract (U.S. T-Mobile).

Sensation has 1520mAh battery
Evo 3D has 1730 mAh battery

Sensation 768MB RAM

Obviously the 3D

I don't see anything on a 4G antenna on the Sensation but can't see why it wouldn't.

If that is true and they're they same price, why would anyone choose the Sensation?

cuz you don't have to use Sprint.

Problem is ----------- it seems that Sensation is suffering from the same "You are holding it wrong/Death Grip" as iPhone4 except that Sensation is worst.

It's just early buyers reporting this problem. hope its just some early model issues.
