Hulu Plus launches with new price  (Source: Hulu)
Price is $3 more monthly than rumors expected

Hulu has become one of the most poplar places online to stream video since it debut a few years ago. The cool part about Hulu is that not only can users get current programs that they may have missed on TV, but the site has lots of cool old shows from decades past to entertain viewers. When Hulu announced Hulu Plus, there were many fans of the service that were excited.

Originally, the price for Hulu Plus was pegged at $9.99 monthly. As competition for streaming content grew, the price for Hulu Plus was more and more out of line with other streaming offerings like Netflix. This lead Hulu to consider a price cut for the service. Rumors circulated that Hulu Plus service could get a price cut to $4.99 monthly

The new price of Hulu Plus has now been confirmed with a discount of $2 per month bringing the cost of the service to $7.99 monthly, $3 more monthly than we expected from the rumors. Hulu will refund the early adopters of the service that have been paying $9.99 monthly the difference between the price they agreed to and the new price. The refund will be applied to their bill in the next cycle

Hulu Plus is also offering all new subscribers a free week worth of access to get them hooked.

The full supported device list has also been offered. Devices that will support Hulu Plus include Roku boxes, multiple Blu-ray players from Samsung and Sony with support from LG, Panasonic, and Vizio gear coming soon. Multiple set top boxes from Western Digital, TiVo and others support the service. IPad, iPhone, and iPod touch users can access the service as well as Sony Dash users and PS3 fans. Xbox 360 support will be coming soon. All of the HD programming offered will be 720p resolution.

Too bad Caprica got cancelled. Syfy seems bent on wiping out its fanbase.
