good service, bad price

I think this is a good service. Similar to applying all hardware, operating system, and software updates on a computer, this should just be included as part of selling the device.

Charging $30 extra for what should have been done all along is just rediculous.

You're allowed to think it's a bad price. You vote with your wallet. Don't pay for it. If you really know how to do the updates yourself, you should wish BB charged double that so you could undercut BB, doing firmware updates for family and friends on the side and make more money.

Or are you just wishing someone else would do it for you for less? I don't have a PS3 but I bet you could figure it out since you figured out how to post here...
