Samsung yesterday officially announced its impressive Galaxy Tab which is powered by Google's popular Android operating system. Boy Genius Report was the first to confirm to the world that the the svelte tablet would be coming to America's largest wireless network, Verizon Wireless.

So it should come as no surprise that Boy Genius Report is also providing another bit of exciting news for those looking to get their hands on the Galaxy Tab. Sources have told that site that not only will Sprint be getting the Galaxy Tab sometime in November of this year, but it will support 3G and 4G wireless connectivity.

Sprint's 4G wireless network (WiMAX) is already proving super fast download speeds for notebook users with 4G dongles, and Android smartphones like the HTC EVO 4G and the Samsung Epic 4G. This news comes right after it was announced that Sprint is adding 4G coverage to three more cities bringing the total numbers of American's blanketed with coverage to 40 million.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab uses a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, and comes equipped with 512MB of RAM. 16GB and 32GB versions of the Galaxy Tab will be available to consumers, however, storage can be expanded even further with the built-in microSD slot.

Other features of the Galaxy Tab included HDMI support, 802.11n wireless, and Bluetooth 3.0 support.
