It was just last week that jailbreaking
legal by the Library of Congress. Apple was quick to make it
thoughts known on the development. "We know that jailbreaking
can severely degrade the experience," said
Apple in a statement. "As we’ve said before, the vast
majority of customers do not jailbreak their iPhones as this can
violate the warranty and can cause the iPhone to become unstable and
not work reliably."
Well, the folks at iPhone Dev Team
obviously don't care about Apple's warnings and have delivered the
first jailbreak for iPhone 4 smartphones running iOS 4 and iOS 4.01.
In addition, the latest jailbreak -- which works via Mobile Safari --
also works on iPads.
According to 9to5mac.com,
all users need to do is head on over to jailbreakme.com
in order to initiate the jailbreak.
A word of warning to early adopters
though -- there are some early reports that the server are currently
overloaded (obviously) and some phones are being
bricked by the jailbreak.
