If correct the price is higher than estimates
When
details of Project Natal first surfaced for the Xbox 360, the motion
control system sounded really cool. The big caveat for many gamers
thought was what the price would be. Many rumors pointed to a price
tag that would be in the $50 to $70 range.
A source has
told Edge-online
that when Project Natal lands it will be at a much
higher price of $149. That price tag will reportedly put it
at a higher price than Sony's Move tech that will sell with a game
for under $100.
The source also told the publication
that the Natal camera tech would be bundled with the Xbox 360 Arcade
system for $299. Pricing outside the U.S. would depend on factors
like exchange rates. That October launch date that was leaked early
this month has been further clarified as being set for
October 26. The sources cited by Edge-online say
that the launch date could move a few weeks in either direction.
The
camera won't be called Natal and the official name will be unveiled
at E3 next month.
