Schmidt to the AFP.
65,000 units shipped per day would put
Google at about 5.85 million Android smartphones shipped (and

build an entire ecosystem of openness, the inverse of the other
The next few weeks should be quite
amazing for Google. Sprint's flagship Android 2.1-based HTC
EVO 4G smartphone will be shipping early next month and Android
2.2, also known as Froyo, is expected
to debut this month.
