We've been talking about the HTC
Incredible for quite some time now, but it appears that the long wait
is about to end. The Android
junkies over at Phandroid have uncovered a staging
site for the HTC Incredible, which is now known as the Droid
Incredible.
The site allows you to enter your email
address and receive more information on the phone and its
availability. The site also notes
that the phone is coming April 29.
The Droid Incredible will pack quite a
punch when it launches later this month. The smartphone will feature
a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 8GB of internal storage (plus a microSD
slot for extra storage), an 8MP camera, 3.7-inch AMOLED display
(480x800) and will of course come preloaded with Android 2.1.
HTC, the maker of the Droid Incredible,
is reportedly
in the running to purchase Palm. An acquisition of Palm would
give HTC the rights to webOS which could make for some truly powerful
smartphones in the future – HTC's hardware prowess and the
innovative webOS software platform would be an extremely tough
adversary for Apple's headline-grabbing iPhone.
